Reflections on Surat An-Nasr

Welcome to a new interesting episode of Qur`an Interpretation Series with Imam Suhaib Webb. In this episode, Imam Suhaib reflects on Surat An-Nasr (the 110th chapter of the Qur’an). Imam Suhaib begins his talk by mentioning the different names that were given to the Surah. There is a consensus among scholars that this surah was sent in the seventh year in Madinah after the Conquest of Khyabar.

Then he sheds some light on the meanings of the term “Nasr” (help of Allah) to the Prophet (peace be upon him).

What could we understand from the help of Allah to His Prophet? Is it exclusive only to the Prophet? Were there non-Muslims in the Arabian Peninsula after the Conquest of Makkah? Why does Allah the exalted mention both Nasr (help) and Fath (victory)?

Follow us on this fascinating episode with Imam Suhaib who answers all these questions as he goes deeper in the hidden and metaphorical meanings of the surah…
