Relation with the Qur’an

Qur’an is the best companion as it brings happiness in this world and the hereafter for the believer. Almighty Allah says:

Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish. (Fatir 35:29)

Welcome to this interesting talk with Sheikh Haitham Al-Haddad who sheds the light on our poor relationship with the Qur’an. He begins his talk by mentioning the importance of learning the Qur’an and perfecting its recitation.

The Qur’an is made easy for people to recite and memorize. If we make a simple comparison between the time we spend in front of TVs, surfing the web, or playing games and the time we spend to read and learn the Qur’an, the result will be shameful. Sheikh Haitham guarantees that if one spends just fifteen minutes, he will be able to recite the Qur’an properly within one year.

After that, Sheikh Haitham refers to some prophetic traditions to prove the great reward in reading the Qur’an. For example, `Abdullah ibn Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that, “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.” (At-Tirmidhi)

Enjoy watching this talk with Sheikh Haitham Al-Haddad to recognize the great benefits of learning and reciting the Qur’an.
