Qur’an Maxims: Relying on Allah

Welcome to a new interesting episode of the Qur’an Maxims series with Sheikh Ahmad Saleem.

In this episode, he reflects on the following verses showing the merits of putting full trust in Allah (tawakkul). The Almighty Allah says:

And whoever relies upon Allah – then Allah is sufficient for him. (At-Talaq 65:3)

Tawakkul is a means for us to seek the pleasure of Allah in a way that nothing else can achieve. This quality of the heart is built on dependence upon Allah and full trust in Him.

`Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: “If you all depend on Allah with due reliance, He would certainly give you provision as He gives it to birds who go forth hungry in the morning and return with full belly at dusk.” (At-Tirmidhi)

Follow us on this fascinating talk with Sheikh Ahmad Saleem to realize the real meanings of this attribute of the heart that is tawakkul.
