The Key Remedy to Sadness

In this short talk, Sheikh Nouman Khan narrates a part from the story of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) with his people (the Children of Israel) against Pharaoh and his merciless soldiers. Although they were chased from the soldiers as they had escaped, Prophet Musa gave them a khutbah and advised them to be grateful to Allah. Then, Sheikh Nouman talks about the term ‘sabr’ (patience) and how to apply it. Patience is not something that one can do it rather it is an acquired power and has to be nurtured. Almighty Allah says:

If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]… (Ibrahim 14:7)

Allah does not direct us to be patient but be grateful instead. Sheikh Nouman reflects on the verse and draws some vital lessons from the story of Musa (peace be upon him) and his people. If one wants to feel happiness, he should not think about the bad things that are happening in his life, but focus on the good things that are happening as in this way one will be grateful and patience becomes easy. Enjoy watching this talk with Sheikh Nouman Khan to know more about the key remedy to sadness and how to find happiness.
