In this short talk, Sheikh Nouman Khan explains one of the numerous miracles of the Qur’an which is the prediction of the future events which came true later.

He begins his talk by mentioning that Imam Abu Bakr Al-Baqillani wrote a book entitled The Miracle in the Qur’an in the third century. This book talks about what makes the Qur’an miraculous and its miraculous language.

The Almighty Allah says in the following verse:

The Byzantines have been defeated. In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome.(Ar-Rum 30:2-3)

So, the Almighty Allah has promised his Prophet (peace be upon him) that Rome will dominate within ten years. When the tribe of Quraish heard that they said there is no way as they were crushed. This is a prediction rather than a promise made in the Qur’an.
